Hi. Just found your site. I started on a polyphasic (Uberman) sleep cycle back on 11/1 (Halloween was my last 'regular' night of sleep), and was having trouble falling asleep for my naps at the start, similar to what you are describing. What worked for me was taking a melatonin pill. Melatonin is usually used by people to help them maintain a 'normal' sleep cycle. Thought you might want to try that if you encounter problems falling asleep with your naps again.

I only had to use melatonin for the first week or so and then was able to fall asleep for my naps without a problem. A warning though - after you've adjusted, take with precaution. I couldn't fall asleep during one of my naps a week ago, and took a melatoning pill because I wanted to make sure I fell asleep during my next nap. Well, I got really groggy (something I didn't experience initially when I was adjusting) and ended up sleeping for 3 hours straight.

Keep the updates coming! I'm interested in seeing how your experiments go.
